TERMS & CONDITIONS

LAST UPDATED · 22 JULY 2026

CLOSURE is a finite, consensual, and asynchronous digital instrument designed to facilitate post-ending inquiry, statements of accountability, and peaceful resolution. By accessing or initiating a loop on CLOSURE, you agree to these Terms.

1 · NOT CLINICAL OR MEDICAL CARE

CLOSURE is an asynchronous communication instrument, not a substitute for professional mental health support, crisis intervention, or therapy. If you are experiencing acute psychological distress or thoughts of self-harm, please seek support from recognised UK charities such as Mind or CALM, or reach out to healthcare services immediately.

2 · ACCEPTABLE USE & ZERO-HARASSMENT

CLOSURE exists strictly for respectful clarity and accountability. You agree not to use the instrument to intimidate, stalk, gaslight, harangue, or bypass established personal boundaries. All drafted content (Inquiry Questions, Apology Statements, and Lantern Memories) undergoes automated Tier 0 screening for hostile, manipulative, or abusive language prior to delivery. Violations will result in session locks, cooldown blocks, or permanent account blacklisting.

3 · RECIPIENT AGENCY & BOUNDARIES

The Reader holds absolute autonomy over every loop. A Reader is under no obligation to open, answer, acknowledge, or forgive. A Reader may choose at any time to Freeze, Silent Hold, or Sever a loop. You acknowledge that silence is a valid answer and that no outcome is guaranteed.

4 · FINITE NATURE OF LOOPS

Loops are finite instruments capped at three questions or a single statement of accountability. Once closed via "I've Understood" or "Delivered and Released", a loop cannot be reopened or re-sent. Re-initiating a loop against an individual who has severed or frozen a thread is strictly prohibited.

5 · DATA STORAGE & CRYPTO-SHREDDING

Active loops reside in encrypted Warm Storage. Concluded loops transition to the Cold Vault. Requests for account or data erasure are executed via crypto-shredding, rendering encrypted payloads permanently unreadable in compliance with UK GDPR. Anonymised public Gallery publications require explicit, independent mutual opt-in from both parties and can be de-listed on request.

6 · LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

CLOSURE is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted under UK law, CLOSURE shall not be liable for any emotional distress, unfulfilled expectations, or indirect losses arising from your use of the service.
